Each year, CatManDo appraisers collectively conduct over 350 appraisals, keeping us current on the day to day issues that arise and the best ways to manage the process. Only our most competent, seasoned and specially trained professionals handle carriers’ appraisal work. Currently, the CatManDo team consists of 5 active appraisers and a manager/coordinator to providesupport. Unfortunately, many firms treat appraisals like regular claims. We recognize that appraisal work is a separate process that requires a distinct set of skills. As a result, we have created a separate unit and a management structure that allows the appraiser to remain an “unbiased and disinterested party,” yet supports the appraisal process, allowing us to dramatically reduce the time to settle an appraisal. And unlike many solo practitioners, our appraisal team routinely undergoes quality reviews, sharing methods and information to maintain industry best practices.
Our main goal is to be “prepared and informed” in order to determine the real extent of the damage. While we utilize technology to create comprehensive estimates, we also do not discount our experience and creativity to solve a problem. Our appraisers are always prepared to go the extra mile. For example: we’ve been able to fairly settle a damaged tile floor by finding matching tile when it was reported that the tile no longer existed. In another case, due to market conditions, we were able to repair a structure (to the satisfaction of all parties) with licensed contractors and original equipment for 37% less than industry accepted software had estimated. Dedicated and experienced appraisers doing the work they love, with adherence to strict field tested standards, makes CatManDo uniquely qualified to handle your appraisal work.
